Topic 17: What is the PRN Count Sheet?

• To be filled out at the start of each shift by 2 staff members (to ensure PRN count is correct and matches the number of tables on hand
• One sheet per client kept with the PRN Usage Log.
• Liquids, creams and ointments are not counted.

Note: A PRN is a supplement to regular medications. Waiting too long to give a PRN can sometimes defeat the purpose.
