In-person Interviews
Definition
An in-person interview is a method where the interviewer is in the same location as the participant and asks questions to which the participant responds. The interviewer can base their decisions on personal interaction, attention to detail, and body language.
Introduction
In this section of ‘What to do’ and ‘what not to do,’ we will demonstrate how an in-person interview allows a candidate to build a connection with the interviewer. This can help build trust and rapport. In an in-person interview, it is important to consider body language, tone of voice, and other nonverbal cues. In-person interviews can give the interviewer an opportunity to see how the candidate would fit in with workplace culture.
