Examples

  • Research the company and the position you are applying for.
  • Practice common interview questions.
  • Wear professional attire appropriate for the job you are applying for.
  • Bring copies of your resume and any relevant documents that may be related to the position.
  • Turn off your cellphone or any other electronic items that may interrupt the interview.
  • Make eye contact, use interviewer’s name, and smile.
  • Watch your nonverbal cues.
  • Speak clearly; you may pause if needed to collect your thoughts.
  • Elaborate on your thoughts and use examples in your answers.
  • Show your curiosity about the company and the position by asking questions.
  • Prepare relevant work stories.
